About Me
I am a Ph.D. student in Biology currently undergoing rigorous training at the renowned Aquatic Ecology Laboratory (University of Puerto Rico - Río Piedras) under the guidance of Dr. Omar Pérez Reyes. In addition to my studies, I serve as the laboratory manager for the Conservation and Tropical Ecology Research Group, directed by Dr. Alex Mercado Molina. I also teach Ecology and Evolution to undergraduate students at Universidad Ana G. Méndez, Gurabo Campus.
My strong organizational skills and unwavering passion for our work have allowed me to adopt an ambitious approach to achieving my goals. With a solid sense of discipline and a strong work ethic, my research philosophy is rooted in quantitative science, which drives my efforts to address emerging questions in tropical bioacoustics.

To me, science is not just about the end results; it's about comprehending the intrinsic workings of the natural systems that envelop our planet. This is the fundamental objective of my research. While my academic background is in Environmental Sciences, my focus is specifically on freshwater ecology, particularly in relation to biodiversity and bioacoustics.
